Two Florida Gators basketball players were voted onto the 2014 Preseason All-SEC team on Wednesday, as chosen by the league’s 14 coaches.

Redshirt junior forward Dorian Finney-Smith and junior guard Michael Frazier II were both voted onto the All-SEC First Team. No Gators received second-team nods ahead of this season.

Finney-Smith concluded the 2013-14 campaign as the second Florida player to ever earn SEC Sixth Man of the Year honors (Chris Richard, 2007). Frazier did not receive any end-of-year recognition.

Kentucky led the way with five selections (two on the first team), while LSU also picked up two nods.

The Gators are one of 11 SEC teams set to kick off the 2014-15 season on Friday. Florida hosts William & Mary at 6 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. The contest will air live nationally on the SEC Network.
