Florida basketball ranked No. 10/11 in top 25 polls

The first regular season editions of the USA Today Coaches’ Poll and Associated Press Top 25 were released on Monday with the Kentucky Wildcats remaining the No. 1-ranked team in the country in both polls. Kentucky received 19-of-32 first-place votes from the coaches and 28-of-65 first-place votes from the AP voters.

The Florida Gators, fresh off a 77-69 victory over North Florida at home on Friday afternoon, moved down two spots to No. 10 in the USA Today rankings and dropped one place to No. 11 in the AP top 25. Florida checked in with 535 points (-15) in the USA Today poll and 995 points (-53) in the AP rankings.

The Gators will play four top-25 teams in non-conference action.

Florida is set to face its first ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday when traveling to face No. 19/20 Wisconsin in a game set to tip-off at 9 p.m. from Madison, WI.
