Florida up one spot to No. 6 in BCS, No. 7 in top 25

The Florida Gators moved up one spot to No. 6 when the fourth edition of the BCS standings were announced Sunday night. Florida, with a .786 (+.026) average, checked in behind four undefeateds and a one-loss Georgia. Florida is one of five Southeastern Conference teams in the top eight of the standings.

Early Sunday afternoon, the 10th regular season editions of the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press Top 25 polls were released with the Gators advancing in each.

Florida moved up one spot to No. 7 in the human polls. The Gators were awarded 1,091 voting points (+67) in the USA Today poll and 1,112 voting points (+37) in the AP top 25.

UF also checked in at No. 7 in the Harris Poll, which is one-third of the BCS.

The Alabama Crimson Tide remained the unanimous No. 1 team in the country, receiving all 119 first-place votes in the human polls and the No. 1 ranking in the BCS.

      Doesn’t matter til we play ‘em. Heck, I hope they’re ranked #1 by that point so we can get that much more credit for a potential win (if we find an offense).
