The 2013-14 preseason Associated Press Top 25 Poll was released on Thursday with Kentucky opening the season as the No. 1 team in the nation, receiving 27-of-65 first-place votes.
The Florida Gators, which finished the 2012-13 season ranked No. 10, opened up in the same exact spot with 936 votes in the first version of the AP rankings. The Gators were voted in at No. 8 with 550 points in the preseason USA Today coaches’ poll.
Florida will play four top-25 teams in non-conference action. The Gators are just one of two Southeastern Conference teams listed in the preseason top 25.
