Four-star defensive end Antonneous Clayton (Vienna, GA), one of the top players in the country, announced his commitment to the Florida Gators on Wednesday.

Clayton (6-foot-3, 218 pounds) announced his decision on Twitter.

“Had a great ride and I wanna thank all coaches for recruiting, but I decided to commit to university of Florida,” he wrote.

Ranked No. 99 overall in the 247Sports Composite, Clayton chose Florida over Auburn but had offers from most of the top programs in the nation.

Clayton, who was recruited by defensive coordinator Geoff Collins and defensive line coach Chris Rumph, is the Gators’ 21st commitment for the 2016 cycle.

He is the team’s second-highest rated prospect behind No. 71 overall four-star cornerback Chauncey Gardner (Cocoa, FL) and third defensive end overall, joining three-stars JaQuan Bailey (Jacksonville, FL) and Eric Mitchell (Miami, FL).
