In celebration of the 25-year anniversary of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium becoming The Swamp, the Florida Gators and Nike have released a special alternate uniform they will wear on Saturday night against the Texas A&M Aggies.

Though it may look grey or chrome, it is actually a “swamp green” color that Florida will be wearing for the first time. In fact, the Gators have never previously worn a uniform or helmet of a color other than orange, blue or white in the history of the program.

The new look “takes after an alligator’s armored body and channels its ability to be a master of camouflage,” according to the school release. More details below the video.

The swamp green helmet features the Gator Head logo for the first time in program history. The lid also has a “satin finish.” You will also notice that the Gator Head logo has been altered to include the swamp green color as opposed to the normal green.

There is also some merchandise you can buy related to the new uniforms. Doing so will directly support OnlyGators.com so be sure to purchase from these links if interested.
