The first week of October has been a big one for Florida Gators basketball, which locked up a pair of top-tier 2018 recruits before its 2017-18 season began.

Florida on Monday earned a verbal commitment from four-star point guard Andrew Nembhard (Montverde, FL) and followed up with a pledge from four-star guard Noah Locke (Owings Mills, MD) on Tuesday. Nembhard is the No. 28 player and No. 7 floor general in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite, while Noah is rated 70th overall and as the 14th-best two-man in the country.

Nembhard (6-foot-4, 185 pounds), originally out of Canada, committed to Florida primarily over Gonzaga, which he plans to visit on Saturday. His offer list was extensive, though his only other visits to this point were Ohio State and USC. Lock (6-foot-2, 160 pounds) also entertained a variety of offers but picked the Gators after visits to Michigan, Ohio State, Providence and Xavier.

The duo has UF ranked with the 20th class nationally, though that should change drastically as Florida adds commitments and spring evaluation changes rankings of players across the country.
