Dubbed the Hawkins Center at Farrior Hall, the new Florida Gators office for academic and personal excellence for the program’s student-athletes will officially be opened on June 27.

The renovated facility, kick-started by a $12.5 million anonymous donation made in December 2014 on behalf of Otis Hawkins, has 260 percent the square footage of the former center with a large lounge, two computer labs, 74 various studying and tutoring rooms covering different academic disciplines, a quiet study hall and 100-plus-seat classroom, a nutrition wing (including a Gatorade Fuel Bar and full kitchen for cooking demonstrations), counselling and wellness offices, and a sports medicine research area.

Take a look.
