Ten years following the departure of some of the best players in Florida Gators basketball history — and two years after their head coach, Billy Donovan, left the program for the NBA, the back-to-back national champions will be honored with a reunion this fall.

Florida announced that Donovan, center Joakim Noah, forwards Al Horford and Corey Brewer, guards Taurean Green and Lee Humphrey, and others will be reunited over the weekend of Saturday, Sept. 10, which will include an on-field honoring at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium during that week’s game against Kentucky.

Those are the details at this time.

Of course, Florida would be unable to do anything in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center, which will still be closed for renovations but would actually be the proper venue in which to truly honor the team. Instead, it seems as if the Gators will just shoehorn a few moments of celebration into the middle of a football game (unless there are other unannounced plans at this time).
