Bradley Beal completes workout with Cavaliers

With the 2012 NBA Draft drawing closer and closer, Florida Gators freshman guard Bradley Beal was in the Midwest over the weekend competing his second of three team workouts with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Unlike his experience with Washington on Thursday, little is known about Beal’s workout with Cleveland other than that he went “head-to-head” with North Carolina small forward (and likely fellow top-10 pick) Harrison Barnes on the court and got the “slight edge” over him when all was said and done, a source told CBS Sports’ Jeff Goodman.

The Cavaliers, which hold the No. 4 overall pick (and No. 24 overall selection) in the draft on June 28, did not make Beal and Barnes available to media following their workout and are taking a much more secretive approach to the process than the Wizards (No. 3 overall pick) did earlier in the week.

However, Beal’s agent Mark Bartelstein told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that his client was happy with how things unfolded in Ohio. “It went really well, and I know he enjoyed spending time with the coaches and staff,” he said.

Beal flew to North Carolina on Saturday afternoon and is relaxing until he holds his final pre-draft workout for Charlotte (No. 2 overall pick) on Monday.
