The fifth edition of the SEC/Big 12 Challenge will include the Florida Gators hosting the Baylor Bears on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018.

As one of the most prominent basketball programs in the SEC, Florida has played in every challenge and will take on Baylor with a 3-1 record in the event. UF beat Kansas 67-61 in 2013-14, fell 71-65 to KU in 2014-15, beat West Virginia 88-71 in 2015-16 and routed Oklahoma 84-52 in 2016-17.

The Bears are 4-0 in the event, making their game with the Gators a matchup of the two most successful teams in challenge play. Both programs should also be ranked at the time of their meeting.

Florida is 0-1 all-time against Baylor with the teams’ lone meeting coming in 1981, a 72-71 victory for the Bears in what was a 5-22 season for the Gators.

The other matchups for 2018, all of which will be played on Jan. 27, include: Oklahoma at Alabama, Georgia at Kansas State, Texas Tech at South Carolina, TCU at Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State at Arkansas, Kentucky at West Virginia, Ole Miss at Texas, Tennessee at Iowa State, Texas A&M at Kansas. Missouri and Auburn will not participate in the field.
