Two of four Gators women singles competitors and one of Florida’s doubles pairing advanced to the next round of the individual championships on Friday. All will be competing in the round of 16 as the doubles tournament began with just 32 teams.

The Florida women have won four singles and four doubles NCAA Individual Championships with the last ones coming in 1996 (Jill Craybas) and 2001 (Whitney Lalho/Lehnoff), respectively. The Gators remain the only program in the history of women’s collegiate tennis to sweep the team, singles and doubles titles in the same season, accomplishing that feat in 1996.
