2 » In a story overlooked by OnlyGators.com during a busy week, New York Giants safety Will Hill is facing a potential year-long suspension, though it will likely wind up being for 6-8 games, after once again violating one of the NFL’s multiple drug policies. Hill has been suspended twice in as many seasons after not being selected in the 2011 NFL Draft. He was held out of four games in 2012 for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy after testing positive for Adderall and missed four more contests in 2013 after violating the drug abuse policy; Hill claims he tested positive for marijuana last season. Though Hill has displayed unique playmaking ability at times for the Giants, New York has understandably grown tired of his issues, which were well-documented before he ever entered the NFL. After leaving Florida early and going undrafted, Hill supposedly spent a full year cleaning himself up and becoming a more dedicated both on and off the field. But his actions over the last year, which also include a December 2013 arrest for failure to pay child support, have put him in a bad light with the only team that decided to take a chance on him. Citing a team source, the New York Daily News reported on April 22 that “the Giants are livid at Hill’s continued drug issues and he’s likely ‘done’ with the team whether he wins his appeal or not.”
