No. 1 Florida Gators basketball on Saturday became the first team in Southeastern Conference history to finish the regular season a perfect 18-0 in league play as it thwarted the No. 25 Kentucky Wildcats 84-65 on Senior Day in Gainesville, FL.
The festivities began at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center before the contest with all four seniors – forward Casey Prather, point guard Scottie Wilbekin, F Will Yeguete and center Patric Young – honored prior to playing their last game in the O’Dome. They continued as Florida opened up a 22-point first-half lead over Kentucky and pulled away late in the second half to earn a 19-point victory.
OnlyGators.com takes a look at the historic day, which also saw UF go undefeated at home for the second consecutive season, through pictures published on Twitter via a variety of sources. Check them all out below.

Awesome stuff!! Emotional day even for us fans.
This is AWESOME!!!…like EVERYTHING you do on this site Adam! Thank you!
Does it make me a wuss if my eyes watered while watching that vid? Never mind, don’t answer that. I don’t give a shizzit what anybody thinks about my pride in this group of young men. They all are just awesome Gators.
Thanks for posting these great pics. Thats what the smiles of champions look like! Keep on rolling Gators!!
Just love these young men!!! GO GATORS!!!
Top notch work as usual…best college dedicated blog on the http://www...
Thanks.
I’ve followed your blog since the beginning and this is the best post I’ve seen. I love your writing and style and this style of post really adds another element. Keep it up.
Thanks Luke. Not much writing in this one though. Haha.
The best picture is the one of the seniors kissing the floor.
I don’t think a 6 minute video does this Senior class enough justice, they have been special.
When will Patric’s article be posted? It’s Sunday afternoon. All the seniors’ individual stories have been nothing but great, as is everything on this blog. It has been well worth the $35 donation (it might have been more, really don’t remember)
Had to take care of a few personal things. Putting up post-game notes and stuff first and then Patric’s feature tonight.
