Eight Florida Gators invited to 2017 NFL Combine

The official list of invitees was released by National Football Scouting on Monday with eight former Florida Gators have been invited to participate in the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine (National Invitational Camp) at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The event, which is held for six days from Feb. 28 to March 6, consists of more than 300 players being put through a series of drills, tests and interviews while more than 600 NFL personnel in attendance (including coaching staffs, executives, player personnel and medical staffs) look on and evaluate each of them. It amounts to a major job interview for these athletes to participate in ahead of the 2017 NFL Draft on April 27-29.

The eight former Gators student-athletes invited to the NFL Combine include:

Alex Anzalone, linebacker^
Caleb Brantley, defensive tackle
Bryan Cox. Jr, defensive end
Jarrad Davis, linebacker
Marcus Maye, safety
David Sharpe, offensive tackle*
Jalen Tabor, cornerback*
Quincy Wilson, cornerback*

The official list has not been released, therefore position groups and numbers have not yet been announced at this time.
