  1. 305Gator says:

The most important players are the QB, O linemen, TE and RB and they are all locked up already, no drama for NSD.
Throw in the top 3 corner in the nation as gravy. Now we need to coach ‘em up especially of offense.

  2. Gatoralum88 says:

Let’s hope Tabor can live up to the 5-star hype. If he’s as good as the pundits think he is, since he’s an early enrollee, it won’t surprise me if he earns a starting spot. I wonder why there’s such a disparity between Rivals and ESPN regarding David Sharpe? Is there any chance of getting Lane back?

  3. aziatic41 says:

We also need to land juco WR Eric Lauderdale. He’s deciding between us and Arizona St this Saturday.

  4. Gator in Miami says:

Adam, will you provide a post on the potential recruits the Gators could land? For instance, I didn’t know Eric Lauderdale was going to commit this weekend.

  5. Champ Supporter says:

Adam, is it possible for us to over sign? How does that work?

    • Yes. You would sign more players than you have scholarships and then get (or force) current guys on the roster to transfer after spring practice. Florida has never done that and probably won’t. Saban is famous for doing so and criticized heavily for it.

  6. Champ Supporter says:

Thanks Adam. I read on another website that suggested that is something we would do if A. Jackson, Prince, Carter all wanted in addition to taking another WR, QB and RB.

  7. Champ Supporter says:

Yes sir. It seemed like a pretty big remaining wish list!

  8. GatorBoys4Life says:

Adam what do you make of how hard Roper has personally gone after Treon Harris given that WG is already on campus? It seems like he’s made Harris his top priority based on things I’ve read on Inside The Gators. If he pulls off that flip are we looking at Driskel/Brissett 2.0, and out of the two who would you say is the better fit for the scheme?

  9. GatorBoys4Life says:

I think it’d be interesting because as excited as I am and have been about Grier I’ve been worried about how weak his high school competition is but I watched Harris make Norcross (one of the best HS programs in the nation) look like inferior competition and he’s the guy that runs the show for the No. 1 ranked HS team in Booker T Washington and any Miami/So Fla recruit never has competition questions. I think he’d be the top ranked QB if not for his height 5’11. I’m looking forward to how this plays out

  10. aziatic41 says:

Roper loves to use the 2-QB system. If we land Harris I can see him having a chance to play right away. He’s a very dangerous threat getting outside the pocket and running the ball. We all know how bad our offense needs the explosive plays moving forward. With how good the defenses are in the SEC you almost definitely need a mobile QB. Plus Driskel hasn’t proven himself as a solidified starter yet.
