The Florida Gators‘ tremendous start to building their Class of 2020 got a major jolt on Monday. Seemingly ending his recruiting process early, four-star wide receiver Leonard Manuel (Ocala, FL) committed to his hometown team.
“110 percent. I’m a Florida Gator!!” Manuel wrote on Twitter.
Manuel (6-foot-4, 200 pounds), who visited six times during the season, committed to Florida primarily over Georgia. The four-star prospect is ranked No. 36 overall nationally; he’s the No. 6 receiver in the country and No. 4 overall player in the Sunshine State. He previously committed to Miami back in November 2017 only to decommit in April 2018.
With Manuel now in the fold, the Gators presently have the No. 3 class in the nation for the 2020 cycle behind Alabama and LSU. Manuel is the top-rated player in the class, which has four of its eight pledges ranked among the top 300 prospects in the nation.
