The ninth regular-season editions of the Associated Press Top 25 and USA Today Coaches’ Poll were released on Monday with the Arizona Wildcats staying put as the No. 1-ranked team in the country. Arizona received 63-of-65 first-place votes from the AP voters and 30-of-32 first-place votes from the coaches.
The Florida Gators (11-2), fresh off a hard-fought 67-58 win over Richmond (10-5) on Saturday – jumped up two spots in both polls to No. 10 in the new AP top 25 and No. 11 in the latest USA Today rankings.
Florida checked in with 1,052 points (+137) in the AP poll and 473 points (+60) in the USA Today top 25.
The Gators begin Southeastern Conference play on Jan. 8.
